HALTON GUJARATI SENIORS SAMJ Celebrates Multicultural Canada Day Festival

With the overwhelmed responses, Halton Gujarati Seniors Samaj’s Committee, President Mina Bhatt, Vice President Piyush Patel, secretary Hassu Sthankiya, Treasurer Bhupendra Modi and the committee members Divya Kapadia, Ranju Khanderia, Kirti Shah, Kalpana Shah, Mahesh Shah and Bharat Patel, celebrated successful “ Multi Cultural Festival & Canada Day Celebrations on June 24th, 2018 at Lions Club Hall, Milton, in presence of Hon Milton Mayor Gordon Krantz Sir, MPP Parm Gill, Milton Councillors Rick Di Lorenzo Mike Cluett, Zeeshan Hamid, Guests from other communities
Young teenage MC Kunj Patel and Diya Shah introduced the kid’s cultural program and the excellent performances under the choreography of Shruti Shah Desai. Hetal Shah and Alpa Panchal from the Bollywood Dance Studio.
Alpa Panchal from Bollywood Studio and her little Munchkins rocked the crowd. Milton Chinese Arts School gave an excellent dance performance. Vibrant Singer Jenny Zarate from Argentina rocked the crowd with her moves and Spanish songs. Only a few seconds after her singing, everyone was on the floor including, Milton Mayor Gordon Krantz, MPP Parm Gill, Milton Councillors Rick De Renzo, Zeesan Hammed, and Mike Cluett.
Secretary Hassu Bihari appreciated and Thank Gillian Rowatt, event coordinator, as the Lions Club Hall looked spectacular reflecting, the proud moments of Canada day celebrations. The kids enjoyed their face painting & henna designs by Raksha Bhatt. Canada Cake ceremony was the Hi-Lite of this event.
Canada, A Nation that gives a variety, millions upon millions of voices shouting, keep exploring and celebrating Diwali, Eid, X-Mas under one Roof. The United Nations Human Development Index cited the country as the most desirable place in the world to live. This year a World Bank study named Canada the Globe’s the second wealthiest society after Australia.
We, Canadians are proud to celebrate our country’s many achievements, past and present, at home and abroad. Proud to be a Canadian where multicultural is the key, people of all cultural backgrounds and countries live under one umbrella and make Canada a great Country.
